7/2/08 Howdy Collectors and Dealers; Wow is about all you can say about the EVER changing world of
diecast. The last few months and the rising cost of production, energy,
and labor in China has really changed the way of doing business for the
manufacturers. And while the pricing and new requirements are here to
stay, we may truly be in the best time ever for collecting diecast. Never before have the manufacturers had so much on the line
and has competition been so fierce. Space at the mass market is now a full
fledge battleground and the isle is going to be downsized again after
Christmas this year. This means that the hobby will once again show its
benefits to the manufacturers and you will all see smaller production runs
and highest quality because of it. Basically we are all going to get what
we have always wanted, shorter production runs, great quality and
availability will be thru hobby and mom and pop outlets more than the Mass
Market. As a collector my self BELIEVE me I understand driving around
at $4.50 a Gallon of gas searching out our favorite collectibles. When
that $4 car or $7 figure really turns into a $15 car and $20 figure. We
always try to give you the best service, at a fair price that allows us
all to stay healthy and to enjoy our fine hobby. Rising prices from the
manufacturers, shipping and even the boxes we ship in are a reality yet we
continue to offer the products at the price we started the year with. As
we look forward to the start of 2009 information we are working on all
aspects of our systems to make sure 2009 is as fun as 2008 has been and
that we are able to bring you all the best in diecast. Many of you have spoken with Kristen our newest customer
service rep and I want to Thank You all for giving her such a warm
welcome, your comments have been very nice and I know she enjoys talking
and learning how to make your hobby easier and fun. I never like sending out email on Holiday weekend but there
